Notes

# SBD recording was missing second encore (Feel Like Dancin'). To attach Pete Coffan's excellent AUD recording of the second encore, (1) replace d2t15 (Lighten Up Your Load) with the "fixed" version and (2) use d2t16 (Feel Like Dancin'). Note that, with the second encore, the show will not fit on 2 discs.

I have to agree with the last guy, HBRSB is so good. I think that you may want to open your mind alittle. Its such great music, you feel awesome after listening. Take my word for it, and download these guys, i have the whole CO tour on my comp. So solid.

All I can say is play it out guy! Did you really need to waste all of that time and energy ranting and raving about this band. Hear is some advice-don't listen to them. It is the beauty of free will and choice. Write a review not a novel dude. I was at this show and these guys know what they are doing and put out great vibes (if you are actually into good music and HBRSB-check out Jerry's birthday show at Hornings, '03). If you don't like it, move on. Peace

Subject: Ok...getting sick of this.
My first review did not get through, so I'll try again. In case it did, this may be a reitteration of most of my earlier points, but here I go again. These guys suck. If you enjoy this music, more power to you and keep on keeping on. However, if you are a fan of oldtime, bluegrass, newgrass, and the newer hippy bluegrass music and you are searching for something new to listen to, take my advice and keep moving.
If you don't want to take my word for it, listen to Firefly and Rosa Lee McFall and bask in the horrible, painful glow of weak, out of key vocals, and tired, repetitive, longwinded musical "experimentations" that for all intensive purposes are for some reason seen as the strengths of this band.
I have read too many positive reviews of this band in various magazines and on this website, and I just can't take it any more. If you have not yet heard this band, flee while you still have the chance.
Oh, and god forbid they ever play with YMSB...

This show represents the emerging power and beauty of Hot Buttered Rum. Great song selection, amazing band/crowd reciprocity, family and friends grooving to an amazing evening of music.

Get this one for the excellent jams throughout both sets. I personally liked the 1st set for its jams and the theme throughout. 2nd set...quite possibly one of the sickest sets i've seen out of any band. Love Butter
